Volunteer News

Would you like to spend some time listening to a child read? Perhaps you’d prefer to help students with their Math skills? Maybe you are willing to be a guest speaker in a classroom telling about your career or hobby? Help with PTO activities? There are endless ways YOU can enrich the environment for Liberty students, as many parents and community members are already doing. We invite you to share your time and talents with our students

There are many opportunities to volunteer at LIS. A note to your child’s classroom teacher is a good starting point. If you would prefer to volunteer in another capacity, or you are an interested community member without a student at the school, please leave a message with the Front Office for our School Home Community Partnership Chairperson. You may also contact our PTO Volunteer/Membership Chairperson at jsousaj@hotmail.com . You may volunteer any increment of time you have available to share.

Volunteers enter through the front door of the school. There is a small table across from the front office where you can find the “Volunteer Record” to sign in. There are blank forms for those visiting for the first time. Simply complete the information at the top and add it to the alphabetized notebook. These forms are important to our school so that we can recognize and thank our volunteers. PLEASE take a moment to record your time. The totals are also reported to the Base monthly as LIS works hard to include both parents and community members as well. Although it is not required, some volunteers may want their hours to be included in Red Cross totals. The Red Cross office (Building 948, 2 nd floor) can be reached at 01638 521855.

Please consider stepping inside…and sharing the PRIDE at Liberty Intermediate. We look forward to seeing you!
