School Advisory Committee

The School Advisory Committee (SAC) consists of elected parents and teachers serving to advise the principal on pertinenet school related matters for the improvement of the school. The committee serves as an advisory body, not a policy-making organization.

A. According to DoD instructions 5105.49, local advisory committees will be established at each school. Details of implementation, procedures, membership, purposes, etc. are delineated in these instructions.

B. The Liberty Intermediate School Advisory Committee will meet at least quaterly.

C. Meetings are open to all staff, concerned parents and community members. Meetings will normally be conducted quarterly.

D. Each Spring, elections help to select both parent and teacher representatives. Teachers are encouraged to run for election and get involved in SAC.
