Visits Liberty Intermediate School

Thirteen-year-old Kara Siert, from RAF Lakenheath, visited Liberty Intermediate School to share her story of being a published author and cancer survivor on Thursday, May 14, 2009.   Kara Siert was diagnosed with bone cancer in her right arm just weeks before her 10th birthday. As a result of her illness, she was given the opportunity to publish her first book, which she wrote at age nine, Tales of Cunburra and Other Stories .
