British Author Visits Liberty

Julia Jarman, a renowned British Author, visited our school on Thursday and Friday, May 7-8, 2009. In her presentation, How a Book is Made , Ms. Jarman explained how she writes, the process of authoring a book, and shared her "writing recipe" with the students.

Ms. Jarman emphasized Organization , one trait of the Six Plus One Writing Traits Program , a part of our School Improvement Plan. In particular, Ms. Jarman explained to the student writers how to write a good opening for a story.
